Here's an easy way to understand if the question is asked from dislike or fairness. Do they mention ftm at all? In reality if someone is on any form of testosterone blocker they are at a disadvantage athletically. It's why steroids and other analogs are so tightly controlled. Larger frame or denser bones or whatever sounds good until you realize it's the equivalent of having a big heavy car and replacing the big engine with a much smaller one. FTMs are going the other direction and tend to have some advantages from this hormonal regime.
I do think transgender girls have an unfair advantage in many sports. Not at least acknowledging this has created a lot of political friction,I think.
I don't know much about sports, but what I wonder is, why can't other sports organize by "weight-classes", like in boxing? It seems like that might be a way to dodge this whole dilemma.
I'm not sure the advantage is limited to weight, though. There's height/reach, muscle mass and strength, power, speed, aerobic capacity, etc. It becomes a complex exercise of trying to normalize, which will never be perfect.
