Compared to WHEN? Compared to 1986? 1996? 2006? Worse. Compared to 2016? Better.
I do think that television has gotten much better though. I think that's mostly because the volume of TV content has grown so much that there's more to choose from, even if the ratio of good to bad is about this same.
