I've flirted with federalism in my time, but these days I am normally quite averse. Normally. This sounds like a good way to avert some of that "butterfly-ballot/hanging chad/No really, those Holocaust survivors totally came out in droves for Pat Buchanan!" bullshit we saw in 2000.
if states set their own rules, a ballot rejected in ohio might count in nevada. is that a bug or just federalism working as designed?
