The caveat is evidence-based care. Several commentators have pointed out that the evidence for aggressive gender affirming care for minors, as opposed to supportive care, is fraught with uncertainties and unclarities (my word). I'm an adult internist, not a pediatrician, so I'm unable to comment with meaning. Given that the FDA/NIH/CDC et alias are rapidly abdicating their positions as aloof arbiters, we'll have to depend on (obviously uninvolved, disinterested, impartial) committees of qualified pediatricians, endocrinologists, psychiatrists/psychologists to evolve recommendations.
