What does the available data show? For a yes vote I would need to see compelling, large scale data that autonomous trucks are safer than trucks with human drivers.

Waymo data: https://waymo.com/safety/impact/. It's for passenger cars, but likely directionally relevant for commercial trucks.

While there's still limited data on autonomous trucks, the data from autonomous cars suggests driverless vehicles are ~10x safer than human driven. Safer + more efficient = good policy.
