Should the Paramount–Warner Bros. Discovery merger have been cleared to go ahead?
On Monday, 12 state attorneys general and the Writers Guild of America settled their antitrust lawsuits against Paramount's takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, clearing the way for the megamerger.
I do think a merger was needed for both companies to compete with the likes of Netflix and Disney. Having said that, I worry about the influence of the Ellisons on CNN and CBS News. You can already feel the difference at 60 Minutes.
