Here’s an idea. Why don’t we have a pay scale, and pay them based on their ability to achieve the promised changes they campaigned on? Trump said we’d bring manufacturing back and lower cost of living… so far his annual salary should be about $1.00. Oh, but that doesn’t matter since he is grifting billions otherwise….
Median salary in America is $65k. And while I don't think most politicians are in it for the money, that's not realistic. I'd rather pay a bit more to enable more qualified candidates. They are running a country, after all.
