Was President Trump right to create a government 'Super Intelligence Force' to oversee artificial intelligence?

The federal government needs to be paying attention. Is Trump’s “force” going to be the oversight that ensures AI is accessible and benefits all American? Doubtful.

It is difficult to imagine this working to the benefit of the American people. Trump's advisers clearly understand that absent AI investment the US is in a recession. This administration will be loath to deflate that bubble, so "oversight" isn't likely to blunt the dangers, dangers Trump insists don't even exist.

if you said yes, where's your line on what this force can actually touch — training runs, chips, your company's model weights? curious how far "oversee" goes before it's just control.
