After a botched execution in Tennessee, should U.S. states pause executions while lethal-injection methods are reviewed?

Pause them. Permanently. Life without parole protects the citizenry without putting states in the kill people business.

Regardless of if the death penalty is right or wrong, I am totally baffled how we cannot provide a humane lethal injection. People die from overdoses everyday with street drugs - seemingly pain free. What is the issue here?
