If Congress can't agree on a budget this fall, would you rather lawmakers pass a short-term funding deal or let the government shut down?
Federal government funding is set to lapse when the fiscal year ends on September 30, 2026, unless Congress passes new spending legislation.
I'd really prefer they land on a longer-term solution rather than just kick the can down the road a bit. It'll be a positive sign when Congress can muddle through a budget successfully again.
